Chemical Spill - Dudy Road

At 17:55, West Stockholm Fire was dispatched to a report of a chemical spill at a residence on the Dudy Road. Once on scene a crew wearing SCBAs entered the residence. It was determined that two household drain clearing agents had accidently been mixed in a clogged sink creating a reaction and gave off strong and dangerous fumes at the time of their mixing. The crew ventilated the residence and located the bottles the agents were stored in to ensure that there were no further hazards associated with the chemicals. West Stockholm was back in service at 20:30.

West Stockholm Fire was dispatched at 22:45 to a 1 car roll over with entrapment on County Route 47. Crews responded in Engine 88, Rescue 43, and Rescue 42. Chief Torey Russell arrived on scene first confirming the incident and was able to assist the sole occupant out of the vehicle.

West Stockholm Fire was requested by Norfolk Fire for interior man power and a tanker to respond to the scene of a residential structure fire. West Stockholm would respond with crews in Rescue 43 and Tanker 91 at 21:40.

West Stockholm Fire was dispatched at 16:26 for a report of a flooded basement on the Old Market Road. A crew responded in Rescue 43 and were able to successfully pump the water out of the basement. West Stockholm was back in service at 17:35.

West Stockholm Fire was dispatched at 11:17 to a report of a residential structure fire on the Heath Road. Engine 88, Rescue 43, ETA- 95, and Tanker 91 all responded with crews. Upon arrival of the scene Assistant Chief Justin McGrath found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure.

West Stockholm Fire was dispatched at 23:27 to the Stockholm Southville Road with the report of a large tree blocking the road. A crew in Rescue 43 as well as Chief Torey Russell responded. On arrival crews found multiple trees across the road.

West Stockholm Fire was requested by Potsdam Fire at 06:07 for mutual aid Tankers and man power to the scene of a structure fire on Sissonville Road, Potsdam. West Stockholm responded with ETA-95, TA-91, and Rescue 43.

West Stockholm Fire was busy as crews responded to multiple service calls due to severe winds ripping across St. Lawrence County. Calls began coming in at approximately 19:21 for trees down, lines down, and power poles down.

West Stockholm Fire was dispatched at 19:00 to a one car motor vehicle accident with entrapment on the Heath Road. Within minutes Engine 88, Rescue 43, and Rescue 42 responded. Once on scene, crews found a car on the shoulder of the road with heavy damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.

West Stockholm Fire was dispatched at 15:55 to a residence on US Highway 11B for a report of a possible carbon monoxide exposure. Upon arrival, crews investigated the residence with no carbon monoxide levels present.

West Stockholm was requested at approximately 12:10 PM by Norwood Fire to have a crew standby at their station. Rescue 43 responded with a crew to Norwood station at that time. At approximately 14:00 West Stockholm was back in service from that standby.
